Cream of the Crêpe

Cream of the Crêpe is a wonderful establishment on Northwest Highway in Park Ridge, IL.  It is located a few steps southeast of the Northwest Highway-Touhy Avenue intersection.  I dined at Cream of the Crêpe for the first time in Summer 2020, and I elected to sit outside.  I am lactose intolerant, and the owner was kind of enough to make my crepes free of dairy.  The owner is named Muhammed, and he is kind and charismatic.  He is from Morocco and has studied how to hand-craft delicious crepes.  Clearly, he learned well because his crepes are delightful.  I ordered two crepes, one with vegetables and a balsamic glaze as well as a dessert crepe with different fruits.  Both were marvelous!  Muhammed is also friendly with the local residents of Park Ridge.  I could immediately tell that many locals frequent his restaurant.  There was an ease and genuine sense of kindness in the manner he talked to different guests and residents who were out for a walk.  I enjoyed the ambience so much that I returned a second time alone and a third time with my mom.  She too was impressed by the quality of the crepes and the easy rapport with Muhammed.  He also makes delicious cappuccinos.  I ordered a decaffeinated one with almond milk.  It was so scrumptious that I ordered a second one.  Not once did Muhammed make me feel like I was demanding for being lactose intolerant.  In the past I have been to different restaurants where I was treated in a rude manner for not being able to consume dairy.  I highly recommend Cream of the Crêpe.
